No two pets are the same which is why we customize our services to meet the needs of your pets. You’ll provide us detailed care instructions for your pets and we promise to follow them. You’ll never have to worry about the care your pets are receiving.
We are a full service in home pet sitting company and we’ll provide fresh food, water, playtime, a brief walk, tons of kisses and cuddles, brushing, bring in the mail and packages, perform a home security check, rotate lights and check for water leaks.
We care for dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles, snakes, small animals and many farm animals including horses, mules, donkeys, goats, pigs and chickens.
How can I trust your pet sitters?
We are fully licensed, bonded and insured. Our pet sitters undergo a rigorous background check before being allowed into your home.
How do I know you'll show up?
Our industry leading scheduling software keeps track of our sitters at all times. We know where they are and when they visit your home. If they aren’t on time, our office is promptly notified so we can activate our backup plans. In addition, you will receive an alert via our mobile app when your sitter has arrived at your home and you’ll receive a detailed report card and pictures at the conclusion of the visit.
Will I have the same pet sitter every time?
You will be assigned a primary pet sitter based on the needs of your pet. We assign pet sitters that will best fit the personality of your pets. While we try to keep the same pet sitter on all visits, depending on the length of your vacation and the number of visits required, we may utilize additional sitters to provide coverage. This is a benefit to using Away Home & Pet Care vs. a hobbyist pet sitter.

What services do you provide while at my home?
We are a full service pet sitting and home care business. We will refresh your pet’s food and water, administer medications, provide playtime, a short walk if needed, lots of love and cuddles, home security check, check for water leaks around your appliances and toilets, bring in newspapers, packages and the mail, rotate lights and blinds to give your home a live-in look, and water plants.
Do you administer medications?
We do! We are highly experienced in administering medications to pets. Whether it’s liquid medications, pills, injections, subcutaneous fluids or inhalers, we do it all. At the meet and greet we will document your pet’s routine and ensure your pet’s profile is updated in our software so their information is at your pet sitter’s fingertips during each visit.
How many visits do my pets require?
We customize our services to meet the needs of your pets. As a general guideline, puppies require a visit every few hours. Adult puppies require a visit 2-4 times daily. Most clients choose 2 or 3 visits, but we find that 3 visits per day is optimal. Cats require at least 1 visit per day. We do not provide every other day visits for cats.
What types of pets do you care for?
With over 15 years professional pet sitting experience and over 1,000 clients, we have vast experience caring for a wide variety of pets. There aren’t many animals we don’t care for. We care for dogs, cats, birds, fish, snakes, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, mice, prairie dogs, sugar gliders, bearded dragons, and most common farm animals including horses, mules, donkeys, goats, pigs, and chickens. Have another animal we haven’t listed? Just ask.
Is pet sitting expensive?
Pet sitting in your home is the ultimate in luxury for your pets and convenience for you. Our services are fully customizable according to your pet’s needs. We are a full-time professional business that takes your pet’s safety seriously. We are certified in pet first aid and CPR, fully licensed, bonded and insured and this level of dependability, professionalism and peace of mind is priceless. Many people are often surprised at how inexpensive this level of care can be.
For homes with multiple pets, we are especially cost effective when compared to placing your pets in a kennel or boarding facility.
Do I get to meet my pet sitter?
One of the benefits of hiring Away Home & Pet Care is that we work as a team. This means we have backups available in the event your primary sitter has an emergency. One of our managers will visit with you at the meet and greet and get a feel for your pet’s personality. We will then assign the perfect pet sitter for your pets.
If it is critical for you to meet your pet sitter, we offer 30 minute introductions for $30. While we assign a primary pet sitter to care for your pets, we may call upon other team members to provide continuity of care. We do our best to keep the same pet sitter assigned to your pets, but rotation of sitters might be necessary due to the length of your vacation or sitter availability.
It could get costly for you to schedule various pet sitter introductions so if having the exact same sitter every single time is essential, you may want to investigate hiring a solo pet sitter. Be sure they have backups available in the event of an emergency.

30 MINUTE VISIT
30 minutes to provide fresh food and water and plenty of love and cuddles. This is our most popular option and clients choose 1 to 4 visits per day depending on the needs of their pets. Cats require at least 1 visit per day and dogs require a minimum of 2 visits, but 3 visits per day are highly recommended. Mix and match any of our visit lengths to fully customize your pet’s care while you’re away.

45 MINUTE VISIT
For pets that need a little extra attention, a 45 minute visit will provide even more time for cuddles, brushing, a walk or just lots of lap time. Mix and match any of our visit lengths to fully customize your pet’s care while you’re away.
This rate is applicable for clients booking 2 or more visits per day. Once daily visits are an additional $5.

60 MINUTE VISIT
Best for homes with multiple pets or complex routines, a 1 hour visit allows your pet sitter extra time to complete everything required to provide the ultimate in luxury for your pets. Lots of playtime, a walk around the neighborhood, brushing or even a bath. Mix and match any of our visit lengths to fully customize your pet’s care while you’re away.
This rate is applicable for clients booking 2 or more visits per day. Once daily visits are an additional $5.

OVERNIGHT PET SITTING
This is the ultimate in luxury for your pets. An excellent option for pets with separation anxiety, older pets or just plain spoiled pets, our overnight pet sitting service will provide tons of love and affection for your furry family members. A licensed and bonded pet sitter will stay overnight in your home from approximately 10:00 pm – 6:00 am. This is one of our most popular services and is especially cost-effective for homes with multiple pets.

Meet and greet: we require a meet and greet for all new clients. This meeting is free of charge for clients booking and paying for 5 or more visits, otherwise a standard visit charge applies.
