02Why Pricing Varies By Visit Length
The right visit length depends on your pet, not on us. A confident, low-key cat might be perfectly happy with a 20-minute check-in. A high-energy dog who would normally get a long walk in the afternoon needs the 45 or 60-minute option to actually burn off the energy. Senior pets, anxious pets, or homes with multiple pets generally do better with longer visits because there is more to do and the pace stays calm.
Most cats need at least one visit per day. Most dogs need at least two visits per day, and three is the standard recommendation when you are out of town.
03What's Changed in 2026
Our base rate hasn't gone up much over the years, but the work behind it has. Every visit now includes a timestamped photo report sent through the Time to Pet app, GPS-verified arrival and departure, direct messaging with the care team, and same-day responses to questions or schedule changes. Holiday rates apply to twelve specific dates and are always communicated in advance, never as a surprise.
Every team member is a W-2 employee, not an independent contractor or gig worker. They are background-checked, bonded, insured, and Pet CPR and First Aid certified. The price you see covers all of that.
04Licensed, Bonded, Insured
Professional pet sitting companies are licensed, bonded, and insured. That matters more than most pet parents realize. If a casual sitter accidentally lets your dog out and the dog gets into a scuffle with another animal, you are liable. With a professional service that carries appropriate insurance, you are not.
