Can I walk my dog on the Weber River Parkway from South Weber?
Yes, the Weber River Parkway's southern trailhead is right at the edge of South Weber on Cottonwood Drive, just south of I-84. Dogs are welcome but must be on leash the entire time per Davis County ordinance. The first two miles from the South Weber end are compacted gravel before transitioning to paved asphalt. You can follow the river northwest all the way to downtown Ogden, about 8 miles one way.
Does living near Weber Canyon mean my dog has good trail access from South Weber?
South Weber sits right at the western mouth of Weber Canyon, so the Weber River Parkway starts here and the Bonneville Shoreline Trail is accessible from the eastern edge of town. For National Forest trails further up the canyon, you'd need to drive east on Weber Canyon Road. All trails in and around South Weber require leashed dogs.
What pet licensing applies to South Weber?
South Weber contracts animal control to Davis County Animal Services, so Davis County licensing requirements apply. Dogs and cats over 4 months who have lived in the county more than 30 days must be licensed. You can license online at licensepet.com, by mail, or in person. Service animals must be licensed, though fees may be waived.
Do you charge extra based on the city I live in?
No. Our pricing is the same across every city we serve. See current pricing or ask during your free meet and greet.
Who covers visits when my regular sitter is out?
We're a team, not a single sitter. Your care team is consistent and trained, and any backup sitter already knows your pet's care plan through Time to Pet before they arrive. You'll always know who's coming and see a photo report after every visit.
Are your sitters all local to the Ogden area?
Yes. Every team member is a W-2 employee who lives in and around Ogden. We're not a national franchise or a gig app — we're a local team serving the same neighborhoods we live in.
