Dog Walker & Pet Sitter Jobs
in Ogden, Utah.
Get paid to play. We're hiring dog walkers and pet sitters across Ogden and Weber County. Dogs, cats, the occasional rabbit or ferret, and a whole lot of fresh air.
Away Home & Pet Care has been caring for Ogden pets for 19 years and counting. About us: every team member is a W-2 employee (not a 1099 gig contractor), CPR-certified and trained on Time to Pet, the scheduling app we use for every visit. We're a Pet Sitters International member, and we pay competitive hourly wages plus 100% of tips and mileage reimbursement. If you show up when you say you will and actually like animals, we want to meet you.
Three ways to work with us.
Every route is different, but every role shares the same core job description: show up, love on the animal, send a cute update to the client, and head to the next visit.
Pet Sitters
You'll visit pets in their own homes, anywhere from once to four times a day, for anything from a long weekend to two weeks while their humans travel. Expect dogs, cats, rabbits, the occasional ferret, and a lot of "who's the good boy" talking.
Overnight Pet Sitters
For pets who sleep better with company, you'll stay overnight in the client's home. Bring a book, a toothbrush, and maybe a sleepy cat on your feet by morning.
Dog Walkers
Monday through Friday midday walks are the backbone of our schedule. Most walkers head out with one dog at a time, occasionally two from the same home. Sunshine, sidewalks, tail wags, repeat.
A real career in pet care.
Away Home & Pet Care is a professional pet care company that takes our team members seriously. We offer real employment, real training, and real career development for people who are passionate about animals. Our ideal team member is reliable, communicative, and truly loves animals. Experience is helpful, but attitude and character matter most to us.
Work With Animals Every Day
If you love animals, this is your dream job. You'll spend your days caring for pets and building meaningful relationships with clients.
Competitive Pay & W-2 Employment
We pay competitive wages and employ our team as W-2 employees, not independent contractors. That means stability, taxes handled, and real employment.
A Great Supplemental Income
This is a part-time job. It fits around a main job, school, or family schedule. Most team members earn between $17 and $25 an hour once tips and mileage are factored in.
Training & Certification
We invest in your professional development. All team members receive pet CPR and first aid certification and ongoing training.
Tips & Mileage Reimbursement
Clients tip regularly, and we reimburse mileage. What you earn goes further than the hourly rate alone.
Professional Tools & Support
You'll use industry-standard scheduling software, get GPS-assisted routing, and have a real team behind you on every shift.
