What is the difference between pet sitting and boarding?

Are your pet sitters background checked and insured?

Yes. Every member of the Away Home & Pet Care team passes a comprehensive background check, is Pet CPR and First Aid certified, and is covered under our business liability insurance policy. We are also bonded for additional protection of your home and belongings.

How do I know my pet is okay while I'm away?

We send a detailed visit report after every single visit through our Time to Pet app. Each report includes timestamped photos of your pet, check-in and check-out times, notes on feeding, medications, behavior, and anything else we observed. You will never have to wonder what happened during a visit.

Do you offer pet sitting on holidays and weekends?

Yes. We provide pet sitting and dog walking services 365 days a year, including all major holidays. Holiday visits are subject to a small surcharge and fill up quickly, so we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance during peak travel seasons.

Introducing Visit Report Cards

We are excited to announce our new and improved visit report cards. These report cards are sent at the end of each pet sitting and dog walking visit and can be delivered via text message, email, or in our new app. All visit report cards will also be archived in your online client portal for easy review.

Visit report cards include a pet/home checklist and pictures of your pets. With our visit report cards, you can rest assured that our pet sitters are providing top-notch quality care for your furry babies!

One of the benefits of using this software is that it allows our office staff the ability to check on the status of a visit in real time. Our software automatically tracks the GPS location of the sitter, and uses that information to determine if the sitter is on time or late to the visit. Although we don’t have this problem, if a sitter were to fail to check-in on time and at your location, our office staff is promptly notified to enact our contingency plans.
